Bi-Weekly Wednesday Newsletter no. 123[GREETING GOES HERE] Weow nice! it's 123 What's Going OnConCalyWorked on it some more. It's been about a month now since I started, and it's coming together. Here's where it's hosted: https://www.concaly.app/ I disabled like 90% of it on mobile just because it's really not worth it for me to build it out right now. Last week I said I was around 40% done but now I feel like I kind of overshot. I should have gotten feedback earlier cause I realized I made a mistake and overbuilt in the wrong direction I got distracted with random features and forgot about what would make this app sticky: artist alley apps. That's the PMF, and I already knew that! And I could have shipped the MVP in like 3 weeks if I had just focused on that.... But it was a good lesson. Thankfully I didn't loose too much time I guess, and I learned some skills too. So the priority right now is building out the "allowing submissions from people" stuff. Which is.....actually really boring lol I plan to "launch" May 8th, which just means like making some posts around the webs. Lemme know if you have any suggestions (yea...I know I need photos, but it's not a priority I guess). Drag and Drop WebsiteI was working on updating my art portfolio and then I was like "it'll be cool to drag and drop so I don't have to manually rename each file to organize it," and then after I built that I was like.....wait a minute... Pinterest isn't *yours* and google drive or notion don't really make it look nice and procured. So what about a website where you can curate your own images, organize it and then share it that intentional arrangement with others. It's a moodboard that you own. Does something like this already exist? Maybe. Will it be helpful? Who knows. I'll get to it after May 8th But for now it's kind of fun to drag things around haha. It's hosted here for now: andrwyoung.com What I've been thinking aboutBeen thinking a lot about the concept of betting on myself. I'm struggling a lot with self belief....even though I guess my actions might not show that. It might be time to go back to software engineering. Looks like I'm still able to pick things up quick. Thank you!Next Newsletter is May 14! Shop | Previous posts | Main website |

Bi-Weekly Wednesday Newsletter no. 150! [GREETING GOES HERE] What's Going On National Park Redos I redid the national park posters. Kind of for the kick of it Here's what the old ones looked like (like 3 years ago?): If you want one, I set up the online store again, but honestly it'll be cheaper for both of us if you just email me. Also if you already bought the older versions, I can simply send one (if I haven't already)...but uh they're 2 inches shorter than the old ones haha. It's cheaper...

Bi-Weekly Wednesday Newsletter no. 148 [GREETING GOES HERE] went to tahoe this weekend! What's Going On 1 Pager Trying to improve my storytelling abilities using shorter stories Book Covers Someone asked me to do some book covers last month. I was a bit surprised with how they turned out Redos I felt like there was a noticeable skill gap between my old work, so I brought a few of them up to speed so my portfolio looks more consistent For context, here are the old ones (from like 3ish years...
